Olde Main Street anchors a walkable downtown of local shops and restaurants. The Alban Arts Center brings theatre and music to the heart of town, seven city parks offer room to roam, and new flatwater access has opened the Coal and Kanawha rivers to paddlers. Come summer and the holidays, Main Street closes down for festivals, markets, and parades that draw the whole community.
